Die Arbeit basiert auf der Frage, wie koloniale Fotografie überhaupt gezeigt werden kann, ohne das Unrecht zu wiederholen, das die Situation während der Aufnahme prägte.
Um den eigenen Blick auf diese Fotografien zu erkennen und kritisch hinterfragen zu können, müssen der zeitliche, räumliche, wirtschaftliche, materielle, fotografische und geopolitische Kontext sowie die persönlichen Bedingungen der Betrachtung der Aufnahmen berücksichtigt werden.

The work is based on the question of how colonial photography can be shown at all without repeating the injustice that characterised the situation during the shooting.
In order to recognise and critically question one’s own view of these photographs, the temporal, spatial, economic, material, photographic and geopolitical context, as well as the personal conditions under which the photographs are viewed, must be taken into account.
